Making money with Adsense it's becoming harder and harder. Couple of years ago, Adsense program was really hot

Nowdays, affiliate earnings are much more rewarding. More and more publishers go into CPA networks everyday. Adsense is paying penny per clicks .. Too bad .. I actually enjoyed it while it lasted.

I tried it out for myself at a couple other sites I knew had it in place and did not find it super annoying. It works only if they hit the back arrow (or Alt+Arrow key like I do) and stay on the same web browser screen so it doesn't pop up or open up anything new. That's the thing I most appreciated about it. I also liked not having to crowd the site with ads but still have something there with the potential for bringing in revenue. As with ANY type of ad program on a website, you have to balance the potential for income with the potential for utter annoyance. :-)

So it only works when they hit the back button, or does it kick in whenever someone leaves the site? Have you gotten any feedback from people that have been exposed to those ads? It sounds like a pop-under, which you can't directly associate with a specific site but annoys you when you find it. Are you concerned about negative associations with ads of this type, or are they low-key enough that surfers really don't mind?
