Update on Jaeli and Her Situation

I know it’s been awhile since I’ve updated you all on Jaeli and her family. Brandy and Jaeli went to Boston for a second opinion and that went SO WELL. Their nutritional specialist and GI doctors took Jaeli off all supplements and prescribed the breastmilk high-calorie formula. In fact, one of the short snippets of updates Brandy was able to give at the time, included a huge thank you for all of your generous donations and prayers.

Your prayers made it possible for the doctors to narrow down the source of Jaeli’s allergies to a corn allergy – which explains why all the supplements, even “hypo-allergenic” supplements, were still causing intestinal problems. Your donations have made it possible to know that Jaeli will be provided for with the high-calorie, nutritious breastmilk that she so clearly needs. Our efforts on Jaeli’s behalf meant that Brandy could rest in peace when the doctors tracked down the problem – and the solution. :-) Now it’s all documented and set in her medical files to avoid any other future problems. Yeah!

Jaeli recently celebrated her 6-month birthday, and has passed the 10-pound mark – both great milestones for her! She’s a trooper, that’s for sure. Keep her in your prayers. As always, you can continue to follow the updates on Jaeli via her Twitter account @RareChromoBaby. Please do pray for Brandy as her laptop is no longer working to internet time is more limited.

Blessings,
